What's notable is that the methods they use for coming to that conclusion in regards to other gods are the methods they reject when it comes to theirs.

But as you say, they don't recognize it when they're doing it.

well, their own True God™ doesn't require that much scrutiny since, after all, he is the real one . . .
 The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
