Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Opening presents and going to my folks' house for dinner.
So lucky to have your folks around to host still! Enjoy.
We'll have my brother's family to dinner xmas eve and then either go to their place the next morning or they'll come back to ours. My stepson and his girlfriend will stop by on their way out to the airport for a short visit and to drop off their pup. My doggy hotel is the preferred stop in our family. (Just a little embarrassing when they don't want to get picked up. Dogs really, really, really love taking long interesting walks every day .. just like I do.) Male sure it isn't actually Baby Cthulhu dreaming in the manger first, and mind the Festivus poles. Quote:I usually roast ducks too. Are you sure you aren't somewhere in California where we could just come over and join you instead? Alas, no. I'm in a much colder place.
Oh that's right, you're a viking warrior babe, aren't you?

On the maternal side, all the way back to Allfather Oðinn (and, rumour has it, through the family tree of Erik the Red and Leif Erikson as well). On the paternal side I'm a highland Scot warrior babe. Judging from the vaguely European-looking maps in the Robert E. Howard Conan books, if you drew a line from either Reykjavik or Oslo to Edinburgh, that would make Me Cimmerian. Crom! Appropriately I currently live just over an hour's drive south of New Iceland, in Winnipeg (unofficial motto: "Colder than Mars!") |
