It's a messed up world we live in.
I know this case happened in France but plenty of similar incidents over here and they don't get long enough sentences. They also get new identities and stuff for when they get out.

You can use fredom of religion for virtually anything here in the good ole US. Withholding medical care is pretty popular.

I don't like saying things like this lightly but fuck it, throw them under the jail and give them both sterilization. Some people just don't need to breed or be parents.

That is terrible. I don't know what made them think this was acceptable.
Hell, you'd think if a small child kept wetting the bed, making him wear a diaper and referring to him as a baby would be harsh enough. Assuming he didn't just have digestive problems, or something.
There are probably adults who can't run several kilometers, half naked at night, without risking problems. They made a small child do this.

Some people shouldn't be allowed to breed. I go through a vetting process when adopting foster dogs, but any two dirtbags can pop a kid.
