RE: My mom is dying, going to need an ear.

Last night was scary as hell. Even though they told me what the progress would be like. They gave her pain meds that knocked her out totally to the point where she was even limp, they assured me it was just the meds, but still, I had to go home and didn't want yesterday to be my last words with her. But this morning when I walked into her room and said hi, she kept repeating my name. She had some energy this morning even at a very tiny bit. I know this wont last nor do I want her in pain on bit. But man again, the selfish side wants her to stick around.

Sorry to hear about your mom, Brian. I know from your posts here that you're close to her. I'm a mom and I'm thinking what a gift it is for your mom for her beloved son to be there for her in her final days. x

How are you feeling today brian?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Brian, it's small solace, but you being there for her is as much comfort to her as her smiles are to you.

You're there for her, and that's what really matters. ((Virtual hug))
