Is atheism escapism?

I often wonder if atheism is a form of escapism, an escape from moral responsibility or even critical thought.

The fuck are you even talking about?

Why would people who were so sure God did not exist spend so much time thinking and talking about God.

In that case, why discuss or think about any other important concept held by massive amounts of people that is also clearly false? Can some beliefs, especially if held by thousands, millions or billions of people, not be dangerous or harmful to society as a whole?

If there is no God, why do we have a conscience, something none of the other animals have?

Actually plenty of different types of animals, humans included, experience a range of different emotions, including empathy and compassion.

If the world is so meaningless and empty, why does man search for meaning?

It probably has something to do with the fact that our brains attempt to come up with an explanation for everything. We unconsciously try to understand everything because it is actually pertinent to our survival to understand some, if not many, things.

Its so clear God/Allah/Zues/Ganesha exists and atheists just refuse to acknowledge and worship Him.

I know athesits. They are deadened souls with no morals. They keep telling me you don't need to be a Christian to be moral, but unlike the committed Christians I know, the atheists/agnostics are barely interested in questions of what is moral or not, and act as if morals do not matter
