Security for Trumps Son and Daughter

The Secret Service provides security for the Prez's family. Rightfully so. But the Prez's kids are running his businesses with security paid for by taxpayers. I think they should reimburse us for this service while conducting private business.

Is it important what business they are running?

The rationale behind the state providing security for a leader's family is that, should tragedy befall, the leader would be unable to function as well, due to grief. I think this is wise. Trump is unstable enough as it is - can you imagine what he'd be like if one of his children was killed or kidnapped?
Also, the US has had wealthy presidents before, none of whom were expected to reimburse the government for security protection for their families. Dangerous douche that he is, Trump is entitled to the same consideration. Boru

I don't see this as an issue. The Secret Service should provide protection for the President's family, and there seems no good reason to insist that the family reimburse the taxpayers. The last thing I want is a grief-stricken, non-functioning President or one whose family is possibly being held hostage.
In adjusted for inflation dollars, was the Kennedy clan of 1960 richer than Trump ??

Regardless of what they are doing they would have security just like the families before them. I don't like Trump but his family still deserves to be protected (especially with people hating Trump so much they become more likely of targets) Just because they have businesses doesn't mean the rules should change.
