I don't see the fucking need one pit to bring up any religion or any nationality from any part of the world. You don't need to say Muslim, or Mexican or Asian or whatever to say, "Want to live here in peace, you can stay, get violent and we will come after you like any violent criminal born here".

"Culture" is a stupid word to me, it is what humans worldwide hide behind to ignore that we are not a separate species. Humans grow up being used to different food, different cloths, different religions, different politics yea sure, but since when has that ever made us a separate species? We all love our families, we all love our friends, we all seek a way to survive. 

"Lifestye" is another word I hate. Nobody has a "lifestyle" we all just do things differently while living life. That word like culture is far too often used by humans to create the illusion to that person, or group that there is something better about them. You don't need the word "culture" or "lifestyle" to say humans have differences in how we do the same things while living. 

I most certainly do not expect any non violent migrant who lives here to be like me, so I could give a shit less what they do. I do care about violent individuals and those would be in any case, a majority who are born here.

They should try to understand and integrate core American values while still keeping the cultural values that are important to them. They don't have to drop their culture, but they do have to understand that women and homosexuals have rights ect ect.

"culture", "class", "economic view", "political party", "nationality", "race", "religion" are all artificial constructs humans invent to set up social order.

Certainly there are economic issues and  political ideas that hurt humans more, like theocracies and one party states. But unfortunately evolution does not care if cooperation, openness, or oppression work. None of the labels, not even "atheist" dictate if the individual will be violent or non violent, our behaviors are evolutionary. 

Far too much of the world's population still sees "success" as local and tribal and far too much of the world is stuck in the local and tribal. If most humans could go to the moon and look back at earth, maybe they would understand what Sagan knows, what the empathetic of the world know, that this is our only home.

If you're openly homosexual in the US the worst an average bigot will do is call you names. If you're openly homosexual in the middle East you're not living long. Women have centers and people to go to for support in the US if they're raped or abused. Middle eastern women have to keep that to themselves if they don't want to be executed for adultery. There is a definite difference in attitudes.
