And yet it's something that can't possibly be prevented. It does it's intended job. To keep society on edge, to make politicians release even more restrictive legislation which in turn doesn't help in preventing yet another incidence of someone basically running amok with something that isn't even a weapon but a car.
Also one has to put something like that in perspective. In the newsfeeds I read every morning there was something on a shootout in Wisconsin. Just your regular shooter going over the edge, but the same amount of victims. The piece will be gone by Midday while this the Westminster attack will be all over the headlines and commented on for weeks to come.

That's hardly comparable. But stones and glass houses come to mind in any case. Having a go at any given shootout in the USA would fit the bill more nicely. But then again, any Brit attempting that would be very busy trying to keep up.
