Madonna Steals Two More African Children From Malawi

Madonna Steals Two More African Children From Malawi

Overview:

The kidnapping of African children is rooted in slavery and brigandage

Quote:The kidnapping of African children is rooted in the beginnings of capitalism itself. We cannot be blind to the fact that the attack on Africa, through the robbing of African labor and resources saved Europe from poverty and despair and subsequently created wealth for the white nation at the expense of African nation....Through illegal international adoption, the white nation continues to benefit from the African poverty and misery created by capitalist exploitation which range from bloody violence to rampant disease to torturous hunger.  These war-like conditions cripple our family structures, leaving African parents incapable of caring for our children, therefore, our children become spoils of war.

Madonna speaks for women’s rights while stealing African women’s children

Quote:Madonna, like so many other white people, willingly participate in African exploitation under the guise of being a savior. She is the case of the day but let’s not forget that she is a third offense African child kidnapper who previously stole two children from Malawi in 2006 and 2009.  This parasitic white-women-can-save-African-children plague is also spewed by the likes of Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, Joely Fisher and Michelle Pfeiffer, just to name but a few of white celebrities turned “Messiahs.”

It’s important to note these names because they are some of the white women celebrities who supported the January 21 women’s march where up to 1 million white women marched in Washington, D.C. to elevate “all women’s” rights wearing pink hats and highlighting slogans about “pussys grabbing back” all while sitting on the pedestal of imperialism, with African babies as their loot.

This "loot" will mainly cost her a few 100 grand at the minimum to support. Not exactly what I'd call spoils of war.

As far as I can tell she applied to adopt the children legally.

At least one of the children has been adopted from an orphanage so she at least didn't steal that one from an African woman.

From reading the newspaper articles though she does appear to have lied about her intentions, in one newspaper it says her and her publicist deny being in that country to try to adopt a child and it quotes them as saying so.  Then a month later it says she's sucessfully applying via the courts to try to adopt children.  I suppose she could have changed her mind or she's an unstable liar.

And then we extinguish them.

Oh no, the evil rich woman steals children from the orphanage to spend a life of luxury in the USA.

I wonder if its too late for her to adopt me?

Do African women adopt poor(or any) white children from Europe and the USA?  No.  Why is that?

African mothers would prefer, like any mothers, to keep their children.  However, because of the ongoing severe poverty in Africa(3rd World) caused by centuries of Euro and US(1st World) exploitation of Africa for resources and labor, poor African families are subject to the further kidnapping/theft and therefore dislocation by Westerners("Northerners")--who ARE their exploiters in the first place.  Madonna, et al, DOES NOT in anyway address the core issue:  Western(1st World) imperialistic exploitation of Africa(3rd World) for resources and slave labor.

Address THIS, Madonna:

Fred, I don't think what Madonna did is the cause of any of these problems, nor aggravates them, and she is probably also aware of the problems you mention which rich countries cause by e.g. dumping their waste there. Africa doesn't have the problem that the younger generation is under represented as we have in some Western countries. The righteous anger against these adoptioms to me looks like kind of a populist substitute struggle for solving the actual problems, speaking to the bruised African ego (they think they are better than us...).

The feeling this might evoke that "I can't take care of my children" is a very powerful one, but fighting the adoptions neither makes anyone's lives better as far as I am aware, and it is fighting the symptoms. I dare say it's not about the children, it's about ego. And about railing up support by appealing to emotions - "they take away out children!", hard to imagine a more effective battle cry. But a handful of African children getting adopted is not the cause of human potential being lost in Africa, that's due to millions of children not getting access to stable conditions and education, squandering huge amounts of potential. That this is in part caused by past imperialism is probably true, but the socialist party is really selling the victim card hard here.

Quote:What is it with celebrities and African babies? They just can't leave them alone. According to reports, Madonna is the latest celebrity to adopt a child from the developing world. If the story is true, the 48-year-old singer has adopted a one-year-old boy from Malawi after a visit to the country. I'm afraid only two words spring to mind: vanity project. Madge wants a baby, so she goes to Africa and "saves" one - that way she gets her baby and scores points for doing a good deed.

have no problem with philanthropy, or with western guilt, but I am sick of the idea that adoption by white westerners is the best thing for an African child. Adoption is a complex process at the best of times, but when you throw race into the mix the waters get even muddier. The impression given is that by adopting an African child Madonna is somehow "rescuing" him from a life of misery. The implication being that anything is better than growing up in Africa, even having Madonna as a mother.

But no amount of luxury can make up for having lost my family.

It's arrogant to assume the only way to deal with poverty in the developing world is for westerners to adopt a few "lucky" children.

Quote:Where do these babies come from? As international adoptions have flourished, so has evidence that babies in many countries are being systematically bought, coerced, and stolen away from their birth families....Nearly half the 40 countries listed by the U.S. State Department as the top sources for international adoption over the past 15 years have at least temporarily halted adoptions or been prevented from sending children to the United States because of serious concerns about corruption and kidnapping.    http://foreignpolicy.com/2009/10/06/the-lie-we-love/

As far as I can tell from talking to the people from Africa I know (Nigerians mostly), a lot of Africa is corrupt as fuck and if you're rich enough you can pretty much pay to have people you don't like arrested while avoiding the law yourself.

Now Madonna wants to adopt Africa children via the courts.  If she goes to Africa shouting about how corrupt everything is while at the same time as dealing with court cases trying to get children out of Africa I imagine the courts might be more difficult with her.

Also Maddona is a singer, she has a bit of cash and she's popular but she's hardly in a possition of authority to solve the problems involving black African billionaire political leaders and western billionaire titans of industry.  I can't imagine they care much about what a white girl who sings some songs has to say.

Fred, is your problem that Madonna is adopting African children, or that she isn't adopting all African children? Your motives seem confusing.

Along the way, the international adoption industry has become a market often driven by its customers. Prospective adoptive parents in the United States will pay adoption agencies between $15,000 and $35,000 (excluding travel, visa costs, and other miscellaneous expenses) for the chance to bring home a little one....Agencies claim the costs pay for the agency’s fee, the cost of foreign salaries and operations, staff travel, and orphanage donations. But experts say the fees are so disproportionately large for the child’s home country that they encourage corruption.
