We could save civilian lives by not arming/sanctioning Saudia Arabia.
Invading Syria would just be about the geo-political chess board and the defense contractors who buy our politicians making money.
It's stupid to fight a war in which you hate BOTH SIDES. Even the rebels are mostly Al Quaeda and ISIS.

You have been manipulated into thinking that "lefties" are a homogeneous group of evil dooers hell bent on the destruction of you, America and freedom. It's this intense hatred that the right wing media has been blasting into your head for decades now that has effectively neutered your ability to reason and causes you to say the stupid shit that has people laughing at you on this site.
Why do you think you follow contradictory instructions and pass it off as "that was then - when liberals said it" and "this is now - when conservatives say it"? Do you think that is a reasonable position to take? Or perhaps hatred is blinding you! Hatred that serves a political purpose for those who continually instigate hatred with propaganda that you unthinkingly swallow hook, line and sinker.
If god was real he wouldn't need middle men to explain his wants or do his bidding.
