Mashal Khan- Curios Intellectual brutally lynched.
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to bring to everyone's attention a very very sad incident that took place in the barbaric country that is Pakistan, my home too unfortunately, I am an atheist myself and I would dare not say it to anyone because of such incidents.
Anyway, A student of a university who was curious about religion and got into dangerous debates with his fellow students was lynched, thrown from the 3rd floor, shot and stripped by a mob of vicious animals, who were his hostel mates and university fellows.

and why was all this done? Well, because the mob suspected he had commited blasphemy. That is he had defamed the prophet of islam Muhummad.
I was extremely unsettled by the news, and the horrific video was even more unpleasant. I am an atheist myself converted from islam and hate this joke of a religion, I have committed "blasphemy" myself among my close friends who are tolerant. But now, this mob has successfully shut my voice and I would dare not utter a word against this religion atleast till i'm here.
Please read this story, share it and try to honor this brave person who was unfortunate enough to be among these animals Sad Sad
May his murder not be in vain.

Fucking savages.

Keep your atheism hidden from now on even from people you think are tolerant, and you may want to use Tor or a VPN while browsing here as well. If you're that desperate, you could always try and apply for refugee status somewhere.

Stay safe.

Because you broke the 30/30 rule:

Quote:30/30

In addition to the advertising rule, new members must make 30 posts and be a member for 30 days before they are allowed to post external content, such as links, images, or videos. This is to ensure that advertising is not the sole purpose for the member joining the forums. Any posts where the sole intention is to link to external content may be removed by staff, and will not count towards the 30 posts requirement. Once the 30/30 requirements have been met, members are free to post external content, however the advertising rule will still apply.

Glad to hear things are working out for you. Smile

I have so much empathy for that victim and those who live in fear in general. It is also why I hate our right wing Christians in the west, and even a few "ban em all" Trump voting atheists, whom don't see that while the east is still far too theocratic, there are those in those countries who do question and don't like the far right nuts that surround them.

I have been on line for 16 years and I cannot begin to tell you how many former Muslims I run into, and even liberal Muslims that escaped that brutality or still live in fear of being a target.

I really get angry at the right because far to many think everyone in the east are monsters. But I also get upset with the well intended liberals, being one myself, whom think censorship all the time will solve things.

I do value questioning and even protecting blasphemy, but I also refuse to assume the guilt of an individual as a starting point.

Here you go, deceptive illusion, a link for anyone who is interested. Seems like I've seen a number of news stories like this lately. I hope you're able to get away from this fear and repression.

I can see that.

He hasn't got 30 posts yet, thus he doesn't meet the requirements stated in the rules.

Sorry about your classmate. Terrible. I would flee the country if I had to hide such things about myself. I would not want to live in a place where it is dangerous to be an atheist.
“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.

It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.

Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. Ingersoll
