Realy? I was sixteen (1967) the first time I fired a musket.

So then you do think we should regulate cell phones with rotary phone laws?

Comments like "extreme leftists" are stupid, period, a childish kneejerk slur, and on top of that you have no case because Gawadzilla owns firearms too. So you saying a fellow firarm's owner doesn't know what they are talking about?

Maybe we shouldn't apply the first amendment to obnoxious modern people. It was written so long ago that surely it doesn't apply anymore.

Moot point anyway, modern gun laws -are- written with modern guns in mind.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I don't. The strongest argument (imo, anyway) for private and personal gun ownership, if an argument is required, isn't found in the second amendment. 2a just rings harder for paranoid nutjobs, who are easy to exploit. It's got that whole "hero against the forces of tyranny" vibe going for it.

HA, if that were true battle riffles would not be in the hands of civilians and Uzis would also not be in the hands of civilians and clips for any firearm would have limits.

Yea I'll remember this when the next mass shooting happens.

I get the distinct impression that "battle rifle" is an amorphous term.

Quote:and Uzis would also not be in the hands of civilians
They're in the hands of civilians with federal permits who pay additional taxes.

Quote:and clips for any firearm would have limits.
..not really sure why you think modern gun laws would, if they were modern, have clip limits.  Some do, anyway, so?
