My dieting is going stellar. My weight loss goes crazy because I drink a shit-ton of water and I'm a woman, so there's a time of the month when I inexplicably weigh five pounds more for three days. Nonetheless, I'm eating better for the most part. I still eat too many frozen meals, but that won't change. I'm definitely consuming fewer calories and I've completely knocked out baked sweets except for fiber one bars and tiny pieces of a sheet cake I made and cut into 75-100 cal pieces before freezing last week. It's turned out to be one of my better ideas.

So... I had my first weight loss class this morning. I have to keep my calories to 1200 per day and I have to weigh out or measure all my portions. Five more classes to go, five more months to go. I'm going to need to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day and keep a food journal. Exercise is a must at least twice per week.
Starting weight: 261 lbs.
Let the hard work begin.

Good for you! Not only that but if you make a point of savoring each small morsel mindfully you might actually extract more pleasure than a larger portion wolfed down with gusto - with no aftermath of feeling guilty and so on.

If you have access to a reclined exercycle that has been the only way I can get aerobic exercise without my knee flaring up. Maybe it would work for you too. Best of luck, Joods.
I wish I was doing as well as you guys. I got up to 195ish around the holidays and elected not to sign up for the healthy eating class again as I did the last two Januaries. I'm sure it would help but there really isn't any more information I can get there and the same time is better spent at the gym. If I don't get some progress soon I may start recording everything and reporting to you guys for accountability's sake.

Hey, I would not hesitate to take a sliver myself if I was there .. and if left unattended I might even get up in the middle of the night for another. That is why I would have to say thank you no thank you if you were to bring one here. Just your company is sweet enough .. and fits within my calorie allotment.
Speaking of that - you poor women are soooooo screwed in terms of how many calories you can have to lose weight. Do you realize I can lose a pound a week eating 1900 calories daily? Just not fair!

Got to extract the love from the calorie grenade. But my mother instilled an equivalence between sweets and love in my mindset already. It is a cross I bear.
