Do christians believe in Witchcraft?

Do christians believe in Witchcraft?
It's in the bible, so therefore it must be real right?  I know plenty of Christians who seem to insist it is (or was) real.

I mean seems like a decent way to at least start proving the bible.  Show me some witchcraft I can do.  Because having magic powers seems pretty awesome.  I'm a heathen so I don't even have to worry about going to hell for witchcraft.  I'm already going for not believing.

So let's see some simple spells I can compel the dark lord to let me use.  I promise not to set any Christians on fire unless they try to set me on fire first.  Just some simple spells.  Like WIngardium Leviosa or that spell that gives you infinite replenishing sandwiches.  I'll even take accio!  My kids would get a kick out of it.

Some believe it exists, but that it will cause demon possession, and other nasty things. So they don't encourage its use. Besides, you're supposed to rely on faith for believe in the one true god, not concrete proof.

Xtians are capable of believing in almost anything - from demons, to sky faeries, young earth, Kolab .. you name it. Witchcraft should not be at all beyond the reach of their believing.

From what I've seen, it depends on the Christian. I know Christians who roll their eyes at the idea of it, but plenty of biblical literalists believe every last word of the bible (always in their own personal interpretations), including the existence of witchcraft.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

Well.....

The Salem witch trials should tell you a lot.

Can't think of a single Fundamentalist or Evangelical who had a jot or tittle of difficulty with Nancy Reagan consorting with an actual witch instead OF ONE OF THEM during the Reagan era.

If the Evans and Fundies can OVERULE a clear and unambiguous prohibition from God Himself, makes one wonder just how much power REAL witches can wield, don't it ?

I hope they did otherwise they murdered a lot of women during the witch trials for nothing.  Of course, they murdered them for nothing anyway but at least have the decency to believe your own bullshit.

How else to explain proven Christian complicity with an actual witch though ??

We have a conundrum.

Maybe you should ask if the modern term "witch craft" has anything to do with what the bible identifies.
