RE: "Cultural Appropriation"
they were doing it too

assimilating dogma and holidays from other religions
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If meaning is being lost when outsiders do the imitation, that doesn't mean the originating group has to forget the meaning. I can keep Christ in my Christmas despite the commercialization of it.

They sure were..but it probably doesn;t help their case that the holiday to which they were referring was reappropriated itself..nor is there any coherent way you might describe the US as a culture openly (or secretly) hostile or colonial....to white christian americans.......

(the term does predate them, ofc, lol)

I mean.. the "Keep Christ in Christmas" folks must not be able to perceive irony.

It, is only "it" when it fits the criteria..which, in the case of pissy christians moaning about something that isn;t hapening, in america...."it" does not.

Exporting our culture seems to piss off a subset of the Islamites no end, even to the extent they are waging their version of war against us.

I'm from Northern Ireland. You want to appropriate my culture? Help yourself.
