Here we go again!

Ye? What is with the 16th century English? Who are you , Joseph Smith?

Card carrying atheists? Ta hah! That is funny! Where do you come up with this shit? Are you reading old John Birch Society pamphlets?

If anyone in the sciences is dealing with existence itself, it's cosmologists. I know many, I've worked with very very good ones, and no, the topic of God never comes up because it is utterly useless.

The OP isn't talking about mental travelers like you when he says the words "scientists." There's no point arguing about that, because he will still mean what he meant, and we can see what he meant.

And that motivates you to conduct yourselves with in effect total evasiveness from doing non-partisan investigation in aid of man's knowledge of reality.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say: "huh?"

And in regard to religion I am a Christian, that is my option, I could be a Buddhist though if I were born and brought up in a Buddhist society.

Then whatever you're on isn't a pathway to truth, since it could lead you to any religion (or none).

Could you try and be clearer?

So, if you are keen on doing investigation based on truths, facts, logic, and the best thoughts of mankind from since the dawn of man's conscious reason, please present your concept of what is existence.

No, I said "clearer". That's more vague. It couldn't be more opposite.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You are almost correct Ben.  Worship
A bit like when in past people thought that the planet earth was flat.
Because 99% of the people meant just that there was no point in saying otherwise.
Science these days means physical as in the past the planet earth means flat flat and nothing else.
Got It Ben?  Smile

Surely Ben when you say..........The OP isn't talking about mental travelers like you (ME) when he says the words "scientists.".......who argue about that after all?

I instead refer to YOUR comment that say............and asking a scientist to speculate beyond that is to ask him not to do science............
Wouldn't be better to say.........and asking a scientist to speculate beyond that is to ask him not to do PHYSICAL science.

What an idea Ben!  Lightbulb
I guess you never thought about that Ben, did you?

RE: What do scientists say about existence?
I read the first article It's a me, mariosep! linked to (the Newsweek one) andtl the argument was "I don't understand basic science, therefore goddidit" and I had two thoughts immediately:

1) It's a mariosep thread, of course the argument would be "I'm too dumb, therefore god".

2) How did the idiot author become a professor...oh wait he's a professor of public policy, one of those fake courses US unis create to stick their pro athletes into so as to sidestep rules against hiring ringers.

That's fine. The OP is clearly talking about the profession of physical scientist.

btw I like all your cute memes and emojis-- they really complement your natural intellect!

RE: What do scientists say about existence?
Dear atheists here, do you notice that up to this point in time you have not said anything at all in regard to the topic of the thread which is what scientists say about existence?

That is what I have come to conclude in re talking with atheists, namely, they choose to not connect with you, they just react with evasiveness, and why?

It is because they know in their heart of hearts that once a fellow human decides to talk reason on observation on the issue God exists or not, you atheists are lost, namely, you have already lost the debate on God exists or not.

Now, I have been trying to get you all atheists who are supposed to be serious thinkers in this forum to connect with me, and I have been told very much earlier to put up or shut up, by Brewer (but the man disappeared conveniently as usual to seek safety in evasiveness, as soon as I have delivered my concept of what is existence), to date futilely for no atheist has the guts to come forward and present his very own self-thought out and written concept of evidence – sad, very sad.

Dear Brewer, please return and we will have a serious exchange on what is existence; but I predict the man will not return because he is as usual with all atheists, into evasiveness i.e. flight when the talk gets serious - at which state atheists have to decide to also get serious or to run away and they always choose to run away.

Or they play dumb, in order to avail of the excuse for not coming to God existing, on the ground that they lack intelligence - in fact they use the excuse, lack of intelligence as the fundamental explanation of why they do not accept the existence of God.

How is that? Simple, don't you atheists notice at all - but then you atheists are not only playing dumb but you also play amnesiac, so let me enlighten you, Don't you realize that you all have this penchant to recite thus: "We atheists only just lack belief in any God, god, gods, goddesses, deities, divinities, etc. existing."

You might as well declaim, "We atheists only just lack a brain."

So, in another forum I have coined the description of your peculiar wrong epistemology as due to this sickness:

Acquired Intelligence Deficiency Syndrome.

So, this is my call again, tell me your concept of existence, I have as per demand of Brewer presented my concept of existence, you now do likewise if for nothing else than to prove to yourselves that you can think and can write.

Stop already seeking safety in your Acquired Intelligence Deficiency Syndrome, otherwise I will have to add to your description the trait of intellectual cowardice.*

Here is again my concept of existence and four examples of existence:

Okay, here we go to talk about what is existence from scientists, and I started with a page from the internet hits by Google on "scientists on existence."

But I notice that you all atheists want to talk about God not existing, so we have to bring in God also.

And one of you remembers that I said elsewhere in every page, that God is in concept first and foremost the creator cause of everything with a beginning.

There, we have three words we want to know the meanings of: existence, scientist, and God.

Is that all right with everyone?

This is an invitation for us all who are keen to know what is existence, what is a scientist, and does God exist, God from my part, in concept as first and foremost the creator cause of everything with a beginning, for us all to collaborate to resolve the meanings of existence, scientist, and God.

From my part, existence is the reality which reality is the object of a living man having awareness, i.e. being conscious of his experiencing the presence of the said object.

An example of existence is our nose.

Another example of existence is the computer monitor screen we are looking at to read this post.

A third example of existence is the rose in our flower garden.

A fourth example of existence is the sun in the day sky and the moon in the night sky.

What do you say, guys here: Do you have your idea of what is existence?

And please give four examples of things with existence.

When we have concurred on what is existence, we will go to what is our idea of a scientist.

And then we will go into working to concur on the idea of God.

Okay, guys here, please proffer now your ideas on what is existence, I have presented mine above.

*[From Google] Richard Dawkins accused of cowardice for refusing to debate ...
http://www.telegraph.co.uk › News › Religion
May 14, 2011 - An emeritus fellow of New College, Oxford, Prof Dawkins last year supported a plan to charge ... the atheist, Peter Atkins, Professor of Chemistry at Oxford University, on the existence of God. ... People with their faces painted to look like the popular Mexican figure called ..... Will he accept or is he a coward?

Quote:[ From Dawkins] “I have no intention of assisting Craig in his relentless drive for self-promotion,” he said.

Some of Prof Dawkins’s contemporaries are not impressed. Dr Daniel Came, a philosophy lecturer and fellow atheist, from Worcester College, Oxford, wrote to him urging him to reconsider his refusal to debate the existence of God with Prof Craig.

In a letter to Prof Dawkins, Dr Came said: “The absence of a debate with the foremost apologist for Christian theism is a glaring omission on your CV and is of course apt to be interpreted as cowardice on your part.

Been here all along, it's fun to read your delusional idiocy.

You claim god is the creator and therefore exists, well then prove it. god existing as a "concept" is a fantasy delusion, a non supportable product of the mind, no more believable than superman or santa.

Congratulations, you bought into a fantasy delusion that is even not of your making. Other men made it and it sucked you in. Poor insecure delusional twit that you are.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.
