Ford Moves Focus to China

The Focus will not be made in Mexico but China. With Trumps tariifs they will still come out ahead. No American jobs lost as they will convert American plants to making larger sized vehicles.

Mitsubishi pulled out a few years ago
Ford ceased this year. GM Holden next year with Toyota. Game over...

The way I look at it is America still comes out ahead. We keep the jobs making pick up trucks and Lincolns. For those of us that can't afford Lincolns we can buy an affordable Ford Focus. Trump thinks he is President in 1890. It's a global economy. Good reason not to start WW3. Mutually beneficial relationships and all that!

they might be lower emission vehicles when they get here, but it looks like the filthy Chinese manufacturing process will entirely negate any progress Ford might be making in regards to an environmentally more benign Focus, and I wouldn't be surprised if the net pollution tally is actually grossly and hideously negative.
