Anyone watching season 2 of Preacher? How many times can an angel commit suicide and draw crowds in Vegas?

Fuck, no. They did such a godawful job adapting the comics into the show I'm very upset I wasted my time getting all the way through the first season. What would have been wrong with just doing the story and just adding filler to it to pad it out if they needed to? Such gross character misrepresentation, omitting hugely major characters and plot points, it's insulting. But then I'm a big fan of the comics and I like sticking to continuity as a priority more than most other things.

I've read some of the comics.
The first season of the show came nowhere near the quality.
And then the comic's artist, Steve Dillon, died.

It's totally worth getting through the whole comic series, it's awesome from start to finish. Considering it took an entire season and they didn't even get out of the first couple chapters of the first book, yeah, there's no reason to assume the quality is going to increase (at least not to the standard the original story set.)

Comic book or not , it is good to see a TV show that makes such a mockery of religion.

I love it. The performanes are top notch. Ruth Negga kills. The comedy beats hit perfectly, and the action is crazy for a television production.
I haven't read the source, but I'm ok with deviations this far into the CBM era. They're to be expected honestly. Just seeing any of Garth Ennis' material on TV makes me happy. The Boys is in my top 5, and Jennifer Blood is entertaining as hell. And of course his Punisher is pretty definitive. I plan on knocking Preacher out one of these days.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

I have the whole comic series in trade paperback, and it's one of my favorite series. I couldn't get into the first few episodes when they came out, because all I could do was look at all the differences from the comic and cross my arms and harrumph this isn't my Preacher. But I gave it another shot a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. The TV series is much different from the comics, and I just view it as an entirely separate thing that's inspired by the events and characters of the comics. It's very similar to the Lucifer TV show in that regard - very different from the source material, but still fun.

Haha Dude, unfilmable. The only studio willing to make it would be Brazzers.
