The Christians hate life. They just can not wait to see the end of all we have gained over the centuries. Can not wait to see all the unbelievers get tortured by demons while they watch from the clouds. The Apocalypse is the ultimate "I told you so!" fantasy.

Subconsciously, the only feelings to justify the negativity would be: "I told you so! See, I wasted my life living like an arsehole to fit in with everyone, against my better judgement but guess what, I happened to be right! Who knew!"
