There's a great scene in Babylon 5 where Sheridan is ordered to apologize for destroying an alien ship. The apology goes along the lines of, "I'm sorry I destroyed your ship. I'm sorry your crew was stupid enough to attack a space station full of civilians. And I'must sorry I sent them straight to hell for their stupidity."
If they get an apology it should run along those lines.

I still remain aghast the Christian religious right turned their backs on president Carter, demonstrably a believer more than any president since, and fell hook line and sinker for Ronald Reagan's brazen pandering.
In retrospect, a big moment in my eventual atheism realizing how corrupt the religious folks could be.
And a big chuckle reminiscing about Kennedy putting to rest concerns about his Catholicism by admitting he wasn't a very good Catholic . . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

The religious folks corrupted Jesus' plan for their marriages entirely on their own, no help from the homos at all.
If they consider the institution destroyed, they need look no further than the nearest mirror to see who is at fault.
