She would not have allowed herself to be carried off the top of a skyscraper unless she knew he was who he said he was.
See, if you let people use the storybook to prove the story, you can prove any story.

@ Gilligan - you can then make a similar statement about any religion. X must be true because it was reported by Y and it is written, etc.

You do realize that most of us had to grow up with some form of Christian religion right? Having that shit crammed down your throat during your childhood/teenage years. :/
Plus unlike Christians, Atheist and anyone with that uses at least 1% of their brain matter takes the liberty to understand other religions so we can have good valid arguments against your bullshit. Amazing how many Atheist know and understand your "Bible" more than the Christians that worship it so fucking blindly.

Ha ha, its one of the fundamental differences between the theist and the atheist Gilligan. Many of us have actually read the whole damn book rather than just looking at the bits the priest tells us to.
When I was a kids my mum dragged me off to church every Sunday until I had had enough and told her i didn't believe in that crap. I mean, as a form of entertainment church has to be at the bottom of the list just behind mime artists. It only got interesting when the priest started to talk about angels, demons, and devils.... this was right up my street being very interested in fantasy books from a very early age. Being interested in D&D from an early age I always wanted to ask the priest whether the demons/devils were chaotic evil or lawful evil, but never got the chance.
A few years later when i was a little older I sat down and read the bible from cover to cover. I must say I have never read (at that age) a book containing so many references to sex and violence!

You make reference to "mysterious mind", and "it". I guess, I would like to hear what you think "God" is. When you say, "it", are you saying that you think God is an impersonal force? ...or when you say, "mysterious mind", do you believe that "God"/"it" is an intelligent supernatural being? You also said, " I'm instinctively convinced that It does exist"...why, have you had some kind of communication with "God"? I get the atheist...but I'm having trouble understanding the "agnostic deist".
