The pastor first failed in the humility part, long before his public sin. A good pastor to me is always humble and a powerful servant first; never taking credit for where his power comes from.
So are wizards and witches wives and mothers fathers and sons...ordinary people doing ordinary things making life changing events happen

Willard Yoder, 21, set up a rendezvous with the child at an Indiana restaurant, according to police.
So, just to get this straight.....the fuckers have to use a horse and buggy but CELL PHONES are alright?

@KN- I wasn't making a special case for just pastors, just explaining this particular case from my POV. I'm sure lots of different theists and athests are great humble people and selfless. It does make me wonder though why there's such a standard set against Christianity where they can't be selfish or ego filled and go as un noticed as millions of nobelievers?

Not defending any of these jerks who pass themselves off as pastors, but one would point out the logical fallacy implied in some posts on this subject: because a handful of pastors have been accused/convicted of molestation does not mean they are all guilty of it (guilt by association fallacy).
A similar argument might run that Stalin and Pol Pot were both atheists and therefore all atheists are guilty of their crimes by association.
What might be troubling would be if churches covered up for them and hid such crimes (wait, the Holy See, abortion clinic bombings, &c., oh they do cover up for them, while chastising American mosques for not being forthright about condemning violence done in the name of Islam. Except when mosques or Islamic organisations do that, they are ignored).
A couple months ago I got in a debate with one of my new neighbours here about condemning the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the debate over the so-called ground zero mosque. He was of the opinion that the mosque should not be allowed (Muslims are terrorists, see) and that we would never allow a Shinto shrine that close to Pearl Harbour. I pointed out there are seven Shinto shrines closer than that in Honolulu (courtesy of Mapquest). His response was to shoot his arm out and grab me by the throat and choke me, in someone else's house, then after my wife batted his arm away with her cane, he pushed her off her feet onto the floor and stormed out, calling us both heathens (not true, my wife is an atheist, I am the heathen) and unpatriotic (I guess because we support the first amendment).
Nice example of Christian love, but I don't paint all Christians in the same light because of that ass. I just make sure to avoid him, which is tough to do in a town of 142 people.

Don't feel singled out or special just because you adhere to xtianity Tacky...same goes for any other religion one would care to name. Something about the way the believers want to get noticed maybe??

Because they set themselves up as 'god's' special friend on earth and then behave like every other criminal. It's the hypocrisy factor, tacky.

I was watching the show on History called 'How the States Got Their Shapes' and they actually addressed this issue. Amish people first and foremost believe they have to make a living, so if they have to sacrifice some of their beliefs against technology to run their business it is okay. In fact, some of them actually have phone lines, they just build a special shack to house them out in their yard. The curious thing is that some of the kids have phones to help with their parent's business. Many of them have smart phones and such so they do things like Facebook. People will do strange things in the name of religion.

I don't think the pastor who burned the Quran should be incriminated, not any more than the guys who did the cartoons of Muhammad. What is offensive is not the responsibility of the offender, but the offendee's. Killing innocents because of the actions of a guy 10 000 miles away is insane and barbaric. All that incident did was to show once again how batshit insane the Muslim world is, and how incompatible it is with ours.
