You will ignore anything that doesn't fit your preconceived ideas.

So, if you get sick do you go to your nuclear engineer pastor or do you go to a doctor?
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!

WLC is the same way; he thinks that just because he is a "philosopher" that he is also an expert in open-heart surgery.

I go to my Christian doctor and no I did not know he was until after I chose him.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

He should not have disclosed that fact to you; it may be a violation of medical ethics, or at least best practices.

Surely your kidding, but he didn't do it intentionally if that will make you feel better. I know doctors who tell their patients they are praying for them, there is no ethical violations.

As long as you were the one who initiated that as part of your doctor/patient relationship, I see no problem, either! But, I once had a doc who gave me a laundry list of instructions that ended with "And pray..." I didn't say anything but did post about it on this forum. I was somewhat put-off by it.

I'm fine with a doctor telling patients they are praying for them and that they are Christians, for me that's info I want to know. If they tell someone to pray for themselves they should at least know if that patient is a believer or not. If it happens again with a doctor just politely tell her/him you do not believe and go on with your life from there. I'm sure the doctor's intentions were good but a little presumptive.

It wasn't worth my trouble -- usually, I just let such comments "pass". If I think that people (such as a recent co-worker) are getting a little too pushy, I tell them that I "very much appreciate" what they are saying but that "I don't believe in that..."

I appreciate this type of response from non-believers.
