Trump labor pick Pizella promoted sweatshops.

At a July Senate confirmation hearing, Pizzella said he didn’t remember much about the work he did in the late 1990s to help the Northern Mariana Islands—a US commonwealth 1,500 miles from Japan—defeat a bipartisan effort to rein in a guest worker program that the Labor Department found relied on indentured workers. When Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) asked Pizzella whether he knew about reports of forced abortions and routine beatings at the time, Pizzella replied, “I was not aware of any such thing.”

Al Franken:

Giant of the Senate !!

I had serious reservations about Franken when he was elected - in retrospect, the man has really distinguished himself.

This is the pattern the Trump administration has shown. Put people in cabinet positions where their job is to regulate things they have no interest in regulating.

Or... they have no clue as to what they are doing and never possessed the qualifications to run that particular department in the first place. DeVoss is a prime example.

Psh, at least that's relevant experience.  Trumps pick to be the top scientist at the USDA is a right wing radio host loon that doesn't believe in science but does believe in birtherism.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
