Apparently 'Jesus' Was Not The Answer!

Apparently 'Jesus' Was Not The Answer!
http://www.rawstory.com/2017/08/teen-sho...bled-past/

Quote:A teenager who killed two people and wounded four others in a shooting at a small-town New Mexico library had a troubled past but appeared to have turned his life around after joining a local church and accepting Jesus, his pastor said Tuesday.

Sixteen-year-old Nathaniel Jouett had been baptized this summer and was helping the church raise money to send teen members to youth camp just days before he opened fire Monday afternoon at the Clovis-Carver Public Library, Pastor David Stevens said in a telephone interview.

Jouett, a sophomore at Clovis high school, had been suspended from school for two days for fighting at the time of the shooting, Stevens said.
“Before Christ came into his heart, he was just crying, broken,” said Stevens of the Living Word Church of God in Clovis.

And now he's a double murderer.  Good work, "jesus."

Living Word Church of God apparently is not The One True Church.

I'm not surprised, but apparently Pastor Stevens was.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Crime or illness. On a planet of 7 billion knowing our species age is far older than any written religion, claiming that a deity favored your survival or forgave you is absurd knowing that on average 50 to 60 million humans die per year of all ages from everything.

A fictional being does NOT prevent disease or prevent you from harming others. And what does this say about such a claimed being, call them Allah or Yahweh or Jesus, for it's advocates to peddle such utopias  as a cure all for humanity but have a horrible record on delivery in reality.

Allah and Yahweh and Jesus all sat and watched and did nothing during the Holocaust. They did nothing when we bombed Pearl Harbor. They did nothing when we bombed Hiroshma and Nagasaki. They did nothing to save the family of the Iraqi who threw his shoe at Bush Jr. It seems to me that if any one of these Gods exist, none of them care about world peace but peace through submission. I think the more realistic and real fact is that none of them exist, and humans stupidly fight over fiction.

Jouett needed actual proven therapy and/or psychiatry not fairy tales. There should also be no religious marriage counseling. Counseling anyone using the values of ancient times as a guide is ludicrous.

well . . . .

I'm not sure about no religious marriage counseling.  I'd even go to the extent if a couple willingly entered into any kind of Christian marriage that devolved to needing help that they'd be only allowed Christian marriage counseling in the sect/denom/schism they were married in (or was approved by) and additionally, if the marriage nevertheless founders, that's it, our government should be constrained by the First Amendment to only recognize their consensual marriage to each other, till death they do part, let no man put asunder, forsaking all others, period.

Just like they SWORE to do in front of their friends, families and witnesses.  And those  crucial clauses, "let no man put asunder" and "forsaking all others" are expressly and explicitly repudiating any future  ability or right to seek a civil divorce or pursue a subsequent remarriage to anyone else.

Unless they want to sever their association with their Christian religion.

Asking them not to be hypocrites is just too much. Can't be done.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

Laughing them out of the court house for attempting to file divorce paperwork is on the table.

Prosecution for cohabitation if found not living with lawful spouse is on the table too.
