But that's how fucked up the whole thing is. I grew up thinking the whole Noah's ark thing was totally fucking dandy, and it wasn't til I was in my mid-twenties that I was like, holy shit, that's a story about global genocide (never mind the subsequent incest and whatnot). So of course it's hard for anyone spreading this cancer to realize there's anything wrong with it.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

So New Mexico is exercising their Christian right to teach lies to children by planning not to teach evolution in schools, ommit rising global temperatures and the age of Earth.
https://www.abqjournal.com/1064653/whose...hange.html Among those changes, the proposal would eliminate a reference to Earth’s “4.6 billion year history” and replaced it with “geologic history” in the middle-school curriculum. It also omits a reference to a “rise in global temperatures” and replaces it with “fluctuations” in temperature. Critics call the proposal a “watered-down” version of the national standards that will weaken science education and discourage people and companies that value science education from moving to New Mexico. “I’m certainly not going to move a high-tech company here, because I’m not going to get a scientifically educated population,” said Kim Johnson, a physicist and former president of the New Mexico Academy of Science. “We’re doing the one thing in terms of educating our children that tend to push those kinds of businesses away,” he said.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
“What we have proposed is a reflection of the diversity of New Mexico,” Rusckowski said. “Right now, New Mexico has the ability to control its own destiny.”
Fine. I suggest the water supply and the electricity supply to New Mexico be cut off. Then blow up the bridges and communication towers, and place land mines around its boarders. Now lets where destiny takes you, you worthless ignorant mother fuckers.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.
Okay, so their diplomas are now worth 3/5 of every other state's, would seem a reasonable compromise given the nature of that mindset.
