It's that digital masturbation, Mr Analog Man. Thanks to Joe Walsh for that one. Big Grin

I've dabbled in art all my life, but at a very casual level -- a bit of pencil sketching, a bit of photography, some oils, some acrylics, one humongous concrete dragon sculpture on my lawn, and occasional forays into Silly Photoshop.  I have a DeviantArt gallery but haven't updated it in a while, although I keep intending to add some more things.

I'm still figuring out how to post pictures on here. I posted som old race pictures from photobucket but now it's not letting me post from photobucket. I got my bachelors on an art scholarship though. I've tried painting and poetry and the like. I just can't do it. I have some nice pencil work though.
I'll figure out the picture posting eventually.

Would love to see your lawn dragon.  Most people settle for gnomes.

There's a picture of George (yes, that really is his name) on the right side of my gallery page.  That was a few years ago, before I did Xtreme Gardening all around him.  There's no more grass on that part of the yard; just a cherry tree, a rosebush, and various other perennials strategically placed around the dragon.  When I get everything planted that I want there, it'll be kind of like a plant labyrinth + dragon.

Fun!  Now you just got to avoid letting the plants completely dominate your dragon.

I used to play with pencils quite a lot.  Had to give it up, though - got tired of the missus bitching about the holes in the ceiling.

RE: Any Artsie People On Here?
In high school, I enjoyed sketching people's faces.  I remember doing the portraits of some of my tactical officers (the equivalent of house masters) along with sketching images from DVD covers (for example, Jodie Foster with the caterpillar over her mouth from Silence of the Lambs).  However, I let all that go in H.S.  Also, several years back, I used to be into modular origami.  In modular origami,  multiple origami modules are folded: these modules contain  hands and pockets that interconnect to each other (without glue or other artificial aids) in order to form a solid 3D structure or flat geometric shape.  In addition, I also enjoyed the various color patterns/combinations that were involved in assembling some models.  However, like sketching, I've let modular origami  go; however, it actually played a big part in getting me interested in mathematics.
