I actually liked the video game. I suck at video games, even the old joystick Ataris. But I did like it because it wasn't fast paced at least until the zombies came after you, gave you more time to think.

My Japanese X wife loved it, but she literally would not play the game at night in a dark room. She actually made it all the way to the end. I never did. I don't think I got past the 3rd or forth level.

I hated the old control scheme (having to turn and then move forward instead of just moving in whatever direction you're pushing on the directional pad, lame!) and by the time they got to RE4, I was just totally checked out of the series and had no interest in picking it back up.
