I'm out.

RE: I'm out.
Jackie, I'll miss you. I hope to see you next year at Dragon con, I'll buy you another just for old time's sake. I'll respect your wishes and not try and convince you to stay.

More than saddening its that really you dissapoint me terribly, like Saerules did, I thought you were better than this Ely! Over the past months I've noticed that you were getting incredibly obsessive on your positions (some I agree, others I do not), that really gave pause to your whole arguments, you print too much emotion, making others respond in emotion too, thus the argument goes down the drain. Finally, I didn't like that "playing the victim" card you just pulled, it angers me greatly, you are trying to feel others guilty! And unnamed people! When one has has something to say, he says it and calls the 'bulls' by their names, you just dont get here, drop a bomb and watch them blow...

Tough I wished you to reconsider, I really don't think you will, pride is a dificult one to swallow.
We're all human and thus all have emotions. We're all also responsible for our emotions, just as we're all personally culpable for how we react to those emotions. While I respect her decision to not name names, I believe it was out of respect for the drama that it would create. She could have expressed the totality of her reasons and "threw a hand grenade" for the moderators to deal with as she left out the door, but didn't. Naming names, when you've long since decided to leave, would've een far worse, IMO. She said her peace to unburden her heart and then walked away. When so much emotion is involved I appreciate her restrained candor.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

Is there any other homophobic misogynists here? She might as well just named a name.
