Sports announcers when they make you laugh.

Apparently the 'only' thing left in the trophy cabinet is the home stadiums unbroken string of ticket sell outs.  Probably should be worried about that, BTW, pregame ticket prices were ~ and < 50% of face value.  Couldn't have imagined it ever being this bad in the Big Red World.

Dirk Chatelain's commentary begins with:

Somebody make it stop.

Kinda sums up the lament of the fans.

I don't care what sport you are into, but if you are a fan, and your team/ or individual player is having a bad day/season/year "SOMBODY MAKE IT STOP' sums it up quite aptly.

With my Washington Redskins, I have felt that way for decades. Just like Saints fans felt in the 70s and 80s,

The Skins when I was growing up had the best radio announcers in Sonny, Sam and Frank, and when the Skins did bad, even then they would crack jokes, like on 3rd down after losing yardage, they'd say "Third and a mile".

But yesterday I was watching the Ohio State game and the announcer made a very funny analogy about their Quarterback whom had all the time in the world to pass because of the pass protection, "He had so much time he got his attorney to make the pass for him." Big Grin

That made me laugh so hard, I was glad I wasn't drinking anything at the time.

What are some of the funnier comments you have heard about good or bad plays in any sport?

Sometimes when I see great pass protection in a game, I think, "Damn, QB had so much time his kids are out of college."

Google Colemanballs for yourself some day.
