File converter.

RE: File converter.
It’s a stretch, but your ultimate, free firepower is FFMPEG (https://ffmpeg.org).

Download it, open up a terminal (or Command Prompt on Windows), and
Code:
ffmpeg -i NameOfTheFile.avi output.mp4

If you’re sufficiently determined to step outside of your comfort zone, you’ll be able to make use of this incredible tool at no cost to yourself and wholly with your own equipment.

On second thought, here’s something much easier:

Just use Handbrake (https://handbrake.fr)

It’s built on the same free and open source technology and, by extension, also is free and open source.

I always use Iwisoft Video Converter. It also has the power to reduce the file size quite considerably, which is a huge help with Adobe Premiere renders. I think it's only desktop based though.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
