Help me with my new website!

Help me with my new website!
Hi there!
I'm building a website, and I need some help. Here is its URL:
http://flatassembler.000webhostapp.com/
Specifically, I'm interested in how the Pacman game is working on various smartphones. It's supposed to have two interfaces. One is that the Pacman follows your finger, that it goes in the direction where you last tapped. In case it doesn't work, it has another interface, the buttons bellow the maze. On Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini both interfaces work, but I haven't had a chance to test it on some other smartphones.

If you could give me some other ideas for my website (I've already written something about atheism and pseudosciences on it), I'd appreciate that.

I mean, yeah, but you're capable of constructive criticism. Big Grin

The color scheme is too primary-ish for me. It's also blocked out way too much. When I create sites, I like to make the elements incorporate into each other or complement each other somehow. Also, the moving icons at the top are unsophisticated, "homepage" should be capitalized because it's in a header and you don't need an exclamation point at the end of "here are my online publications." A colon would work better. You don't even need to say "here are." Just say "My online publications:" Hope that helps.

He's pretty good at site design too. I know the joke was good. Haha, he doesn't need defending from me. Tongue

With the design, some ideas:

1. Stick with 3-4 colors. Be aware of your color choices. Readability is key for a site that’s primarily text, so nothing that clashes, nothing that blends in with text

2. Animated GIFs are, frankly, amateurish, and not in a good way. It really does harken back to the mid-to-late 90s. Unless you’re being intentionally ironic/funny, don’t use them.

3. Without looking at your code, I’m guessing you’re using tables for layout. Don’t. Learn to use, at the very least, div tags with CSS styling.

4. Look at what modern sites do. There are a ton of examples online that should both inspire you and point you in a better direction design wise. In most cases, less is more. Simple elements, font choices, color choices, all arranged deftly. You don’t need to be a graphic designer to at least tidy things up and organize them in a way that makes sense while being readable.
