Digital or Phsyical for gaming

RE: Digital or Phsyical for gaming
I always loved owning actual physical CDs and I still have my favorite game of all time on CD, so that's the main thing.

But ever since Steam, gog.com and the Blizzard App.... forget CDs man Tongue

Physical. I want to show off my collection. My books and systems/games are my most prized possessions and they are prominently displayed in my living room. I've lost too many digital copies to be ok with not having a hard copy.

I'm digital too seems to be so much easier, and your purchase is just a download, or stream away.

I lost digital copes in the past too. So nowadays I back my digital copies up in my Dropbox account where I keep my private photos.

Console - Xbox - both. It depends on what's cheaper for the game I want. Sometimes, Game Stop will have a physical copy cheaper than the Xbox library will have have. Storage used to also be a consideration, but we don't have that problem anymore.

I "own" lifetime updates to an expensive version of FruityLoops.  It's not a game, but still.

Step 1: forget user name
Step 2: company will not provide any way to recover user name or password
Step 3: kiss your lifetime updates goodbye.

Another common case is when a company gets bought out.  The new company offers a "special limited time offer" to upgrade to a different format, and then. . . poof!  Go back a year later, and it's 404 error for you.

You got the classic Disney and wiggles DVDs ready?
You'll be playing them 24/7 before you know it!

Ha I have the classic Disney VHS movies I'm so ready for that. After working at a daycare for five years I'm pretty sure I can quote most children shows lol
