An idea for a thread series

This is something I've been thinking about recently, and would like to see if enough people would be interested in participating in such threads. Basically, the idea goes like this:

Every week or so, I (or some other member, maybe) will make a thread called something like "Explain this to me: <insert topic title here>", with the OP stating the topic question(s), and responses attempting to answer the question the best they can. All members would be welcome to give it a try, with each member preferably posting only once in the thread. After a week or so from posting the thread, posts will be evaluated based on such things as the amount of kudos given to that post (and maybe some other things to consider). The best post will then be declared the winner, and if it is possible for me to modify the OP whenever I want, be placed in the OP as the best answer to the OP question(s).

So tell me what you think. Interesting, not interesting, fuck no? Need more clarifications?

Thats true, and I have thought about that. Ill give it at least just one try, see how it goes. I might have to use my judgement and discount any posts I see as joke posts and such.

Nothing concrete yet, but best to start with a question that anyone here can feel capable of answering without much researching. If this becomes popular, then maybe down the track, I can make the questions more challenging, prompting interested parties to do some research before posting.
