I was SO disappointed in that video...

I hate mixing words, so thanks for the correction. But at the same time, I won't beat myself up either.

I'd make a crack about the intelligence of the average Eagles fan, but I think that guy has suffered enough for his cognitive indiscretion.

Thank Buddha for "sports bars". Otherwise we wouldn't have gems like that.

@Brian. I sent a letter to Mom once saying I had changed ships in the PG and there was a new addy for me. But I used Navy terminology and said I had "swapped berths" with another sailor. She had quite a bit of fun with that. Landlubbers...  Undecided

Humans are humans and every major city with any major sports, always has those idiots whom fight at a drop of a hat, or run into poles.

Soccer fans in England and Europe can be just as bone headed.

I get what this guy did, I could see myself as a Skins fan running into a pole too if I got that excited. SHIT, back in the mid 90s the Skins were up against Dallas 21 to 0 at the half and the Skins blew it. I was so mad I ran outside and kicked a telephone pole. I didn't break anything but did sprain my foot and ankle for getting that stupid.

He got caught up in the moment, but that doesn't make every fan of any sport in any city all 100% stupid. And at least he was celebrating and not rioting starting fights.

I only get mad at sports fans, OF ANY sport, NHL, pro soccer, baseball, IN ANY CITY, when the fans are willing to fight even if it is just at a bar and not at the stadium. But every city has assholes like that. A couple years back in LA over  a baseball game, a fight ended up with one guy in a coma.

And even I got shouted at by other Redskins fans, at a Redskins/Dallas game in DC at the old RFK stadium. Dallas won that game, and walking to my car, I was talking to a Dallas fan basically saying, they got us this time, in a friendly way. From behind me I hear, "What the hell are you talking to him for!" I turned around and some Redskins fans were mad at me for talking to the Dallas fan. HOLY FUCK it is just a game!

Thanks to that fan, the "average" intelligence of Eagles fans was reduced slightly anyway.

Well, my friend Brian Sapient owns the website my poetry thread is at and he grew up in Philly, and he ain't dumb. He is an atheist too, and he debated Ray CumFART on ABC's Nightline long ago.

The only reason I am rooting for the Eagles is because I hope with a Super Bowl win, once they get laid their fans wont be so uptight.

But, I'll be happy for you too, if the Pats win. I know how it was when the Skins won Super Bowls.

I am simply rooting for the underdog.

That ain't how it works. You think Eagles fans will be less obnoxious if their team defeats Tom Brady in a Super Bowl? You won't hear the end of it for years.

Just look at how long Patriots fans have been milking 28 - 3, I've got two t-shirts with that scoreboard on it...two! We weren't even the underdog!

You should just come to the dark side, we have cookies, cookies made with avocado because otherwise Tom won't touch them.
