The reason that NDEs do not bother many atheists, is because they know so little about them.
Why do you claim that?
From my experience theists accept claims of ndes within their own religion without question, but dismiss those of others.

That NDE thing sure disturbs atheists.
Lol, youre not even trying.
I would say that you are not even trying. Have you ever been to an IANDS meeting? How much have you studied NDEs?

Everyone is capable of imaginatively inventing a personal god in which to believe, yet the god remains no more real than the monsters imaginatively created beneath one's bed. A god concept is incapable of doing anything except cognitively disassociate one from reality since it is a mere delusion in the mind of the believer.

I accept all NDE stories that are legit. I do understand that what people see in their own NDE is from their own perspective, but each book I have read has shown me another piece of the puzzle.

Me too. I nearly died once.
Oh wait, you don't mean stories about people who nearly died do you? You don't mean actual near death experiences. You mean some bollocks about someone dying temporarily and coming back. The soul temporarily floating away and coming back.
Sorry but that's a load of old bollocks and souls don't exist.

I'm plagued by NDE threads all the time in these forums, and I have posted in quite a few. They're easily explicable in terms of human psychology, so there's not an ounce of need to resort to the supernatural for explanations, not unless you're a believer who needs the supernatural explanations to be true for their own psychological comfort.

Other Christians aren't even remotely convinced by this whole "nde" song and dance. They think that you're a mouthy asshole who's probably doing damage to the cause.........

Hey! I nearly died once, fuckface. I experienced near death. I am also atheist.
Nearly dying is a perfectly natural event that happens when you nearly die. There's nothing magical or hocus pocusy about it and no souls are required.

Nope it does not bother us . It's the fact monrons try pushing it as evidence of mystic nonsense that's annoying . As it's not .

There is nothing to try
Quote:Have you ever been to an IANDS meeting?
The mental masterbation of a group of hacks and moons bats don't interest me
Quote:How much have you studied NDEs?
Deluded mystic crackpots are always push this nonsense and not a single case presented is conclusive . nor as a whole
Quote:I accept all NDE stories that are legit.
Then aren't very bright

Yeah delusion tend to be subjective . And the puzzle is more of them picking up their shattered reasoning skills .
