There must have been something more going on there. Dogs don't typically just kill their owners for no reason. Pit bulls or not.

The Pit Bull Terrier is not normally aggressive to humans in any degree more than any other breed the same size. Dog fighters dominate their fighters routinely.

It doesn't escape my notice that this particular is such a huge story because it represents an extremely rare event, regardless of breed.
