With folded arms.

With folded arms.
Today "Dr" Oz had on as his guest, one of the children of a murdered family who discovered their bodies from the infamous "BTK" killer.

This sicko murdered a husband and wife and his brother and sister. The worst part was this psycho hung the girl from a pipe in the basement and in his confession admitted to having a "sexual fantasy" while doing it.

Be it sick crap like this, or the Holocaust, I simply cannot buy the claim of "all loving" or "all seeing" or "all knowing" when you claim a God.

While listening to this victim, my empathy was there of course. Now while my mother was not murdered, I do know the feeling of helplessness watching someone in pain, watching someone die. It does not matter, you still feel what is called "survivor's guilt".

Where is the logic?

The common arguments are.

"They are in a better place".

Huh? If that is the case why should the sicko be punished at all?

"It's all part of God's plan"

Yea ok, again, so why punish someone who helped fulfill "God's plan"?

"God doesn't interfere with man's free will"

Huh? What "free will" did 11 year old Josephine have in being witness to her parent's murder, drug to the basement, stripped, molested and hung?

"It's a test"?

Um no, a "test" is something you take in a class, something you take to get on a sports team, something you take to get a licence.

And even without the crime, I think of my own mother, and everything she went through medically and her decline and watching her die slowly over weeks. No, my mother did nothing wrong to deserve what she went through. She did nothing but care for others her entire life, as a lifetime teacher. So it makes even less sense to me to claim there was any good reason that an allegedly "all loving" God would sit and do nothing while a monster put a rope around a 11 year old girl's neck and strung her from a pipe.

The Holocaust makes even less sense. The Nazis would strip even little boys and girls along with the adults, shuffle them into gas chambers and commit mass murder.

Mind any theist who may respond to this. YES, it is a graphic post. YES, it is disturbing. But it is NOT intended to sell hate. It is simply blunt and cold water on a very bad concept of an omni god attribute.

I cannot logically bring myself to buy into such a being who would sit and do nothing when it had the power to do something.

Why do you think this is not productive? Harsh and blunt certainly. But if humans never challenged social norms, we would not have doctors, we would not have forensic science that catches killers.

The fact that this particular killer got caught is a direct result of computer science and deception on the part of cops when he stupidly trusted the cops when they told him the disk he sent could not be traced. I am glad that sick fuck is behind bars. I am sure you are happy he is too. DNA also convicted the sicko.

My point, is very productive. If we are to problem solve as a species, clinging to old mythology as a placebo doesn't seem to work. It makes people feel good, sure, but it is a mask. And even in the case of BTK, he used a church to hide in and look normal.

God creates everything and is the source of everything. But is responsible for nothing when things go wrong . But gets praise when things go right .

Yep, the ultimate dodge.

By productivity I meant like earning money to do something useful. Posting depressing topics here is pointless.

According to our christian heritage, that little girl murdered/ molested in the basement shares with all people her portion of Original Sin.

Its also possible she was one of those "condemned unto the tenth generation" people, so what she experienced in that basement was NOTHING compared to the depredations she will experience in hell.

Praise Jesus !!!!!

If the goddam Christians can't be bothered to witness the word here, I'm happy to step up to the plate for them.

Posting borderline cartoon child porn is worse than useless, so, maybe you shouldn’t be so judgmental.
