Bill Maher makes me laugh a lot but John Oliver makes me laugh even more.

People in the US who have the characteristic 'liberal' are more likely to have the characteristic of 'not voting rather than voting for a candidate they dislike.' I would say there is very likely a direct correlation. As for misidentifying, that may be. But we've had a fairly agreed upon definition of liberal in the context of US politics in place over here for a couple decades. The country switching from what it's meant to us for 20+ years to 'what Hammy thinks it should mean' would probably cause more confusion than good. |
