President Trump To Strike Syria

RE: President Trump To Strike Syria
oh no

but seriously he did tweet it

https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/stat...8405905408

maybe he removes it in meantime, but until he does:

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Yeah, but he won't remember that so he'll call it fake news.  It's a trick he uses every day.

Meanwhile, Bill Maher nailed his sorry ass and his motive.

Quote:“I don’t want to say this attack was meant to distract from his other problems, but it’s called Operation Desert Stormy,” Maher said.

The link includes video.

And is there anyone who really thinks that the Orange Turd gives a flying fuck about dead kids in Syria?

Surprised about the French.  I thought they had more sense.

Macron's presidency is in as bad a shape as Drumpfuck's. Turns out trying to take away hard won worker's rights don't get you far in France (and don't go for the right wing bs that those right are hurting France's economy. They're a major & integral part of what turned a broken France into the world's fifth biggest economy in the decades after WW2).

I doubt he had to do much convincing of the Brits. They were already pissed with Russia over the nerve agent assassination of one of their former spies on British soil.

True, but Minimalist is still correct in referring to the British politicians in Westminster as America's lapdogs.

I'd just like to mention here that it's rarely popular with the average Brit.

Macron was said to be ready to go even without a coalition.

I hope Assad gets a tomahawk down the chimney.

Amen!

We already let a lot slide. If we turn a blind eye to chemical weapons attacks, weapons banned with almost earth wide approval, are we not somehow complicit? Especially if we have the means to do something and stand idly by?

I’m not an interventionist but the screams of children dying following chemical (and conventional) weapons attacks is haunting.

Funny how wars seem to coincide with bad news for Trump. Like his lawyer, whose only client is Trump, is under criminal investigation and had everything ceased.

The airstrikes on Syrian targets are going to do a tremendous amount of good.  Think of all the lives that will be spared in the 3-4 days it will take the Russians to re-stock Syria's chemical weapons facilities.

What a fucking dog-and-pony show.

Syria was a league of nation mandate to France at the end of WWI, and was effectively a French colony. Despite france’s fall from global to a strictly regional power, and the fact that French rule is hardly remembered with fondness in much of her former colonies, France never gave up the pretention that she continue to have special interests privileges in areas over which she had once been the colonial master.

You'd think the Algerians would have disabused them of that nonsense.

Just heard on the news this morning that more airstrikes may happen.
