How do you imagine the world millions of years from now?

Yeah, I'm a bit worried about disaster management. Also, I think we will have another Christa McAuliffe situation.

Humans won't exist that's for sure! Don't forget what we looked like a million years ago!

I have no idea what we will look like in a million years ... As long as we're sexy enough like my friend pictured above that we even want to copulate! lol.

hahaha ... Yeah, you should have seen her without her makeup on!

I'll need more than 2 glasses of Pinot Noir to make love to that like our ancestors did!

OK. Maybe 4!

I don't think so. Humans will be extinct, but life will go on.

If i had to throw out a guess, it'll be a lot like it was a million years in the past. The animals will be in charge again. That's how the earth has been for 99.999% of the time. Just animals trying to eat each other/not get eaten.

Earth will still be recovering from it's worst mass extinction event, the beginning of which is just starting.

I see a huge sun low on the horizon, shining over a flat sea. Along the coast line huge crab-like creatures scuttle toward me.

Uh, I think I'll back up to the Eloi.

It is theoretically possible to revive every human being who has ever lived because information is not lost. Whether or not there is a practical way to do it or not, I wouldn't hazard a guess. At some point though, advanced beings should reach the point where the only thing limiting them is the laws of physics.

Once a person dies, how is that "information" not lost? How do we even tell what is going on a live person's head, most of the time? How can that be recovered?

The only thing limiting us now are the laws of physics, and that's not going to change anytime soon, let alone in a million years.

The universe itself doesn't lose information.

We are currently limited by far more than the laws of physics. For starters, our knowledge of it is incomplete. Secondly, there are things we could do in theory but we simply lack the resources to actually do them.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
