This is true for Istanbul and Western shore and maybe(centre of Ankara) but for most of the parts it's still a huge Taboo. But for majority of people Active homosexuality is not considered as being homosexual.

In Kurdish populated areas it's much worse but this apply to almost whole anatolia.
