No, you were called out. Did you forget this forum has a search function?
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

Little Lunch's question about what the punishment should be is very important here. I think the only hypothetical scenario that would make sense is if it would be considered child abuse and punished as such.
Obviously this would only work if/when enough of society actually does consider it to be mutilation and not some sort of customization, and that this is written into law. At that point no legitimate hospital would be performing them unless it can be shown that there is individual grounds to do so. So someone choosing to get this done on their baby would either be doing it themselves or getting some dodgy doctor to do it. I think it would then be reasonable to call such actions child abuse and to involve social services to either monitor the parents closely from that point, or remove the child altogether.
I can't think of any other punishment that would be practical, if one was to be imposed at all.

If everyone would obey God's word there would have never been any worry about STD's in the first place. God gave that commandment to Israel to set them apart from the rest of the people of that time. it is not a requirement of Christianity, nor the God who made salvation possible.

Sure, less STDs if you remove the foreskin... but remove someone's feet and they can't get infected toes either.....
Using condoms is always an infinitely healthier option.
And there just is no possible way to morally justify mutilating someone's body parts without their consent unless it is absolutely medically necessary. Which it isn't.
I find it ironic that Christians who believe God made man in his own perfect image also think that some part needs to be removed!
It did then and does today, even though we are usually more cleanly now.
Red bold by me, obeying God's word would be the greater option for health.
Blue bold by me, God is not a physical being and that should be enough said about that. The reason God gave the commandment to Israel was to show them a separate people of the rest of the Middle Eastern people and like I said that was a healthier thing then and why because people did not keep God's word.

I gave the reason for circumcision in the Jewish community which is true and you two dummies have to get bent out of shape.
I do not see why this is even a subject to be argued, what difference does it make, one doesn't miss what one doesn't have and as far as I know it's not done for a contest of who's looks best. I'd bet that those who complain about it have been made fun of by someone and just can't man-up to ignore useless opinion.

Regarding circumcision, the funny thing is that in the Bible the crazy old coot Abraham adopted it from the Egyptians to show his loyalty to the Pharaoh. It was an Egyptian custom. And then in the New Testament Peter and Paul had a big controversy if circumcision would grant the guys a ticket to eternal life. Paul did some but he didn't like it because he had to suck the guy's bloody stump. Now imagine if he had enjoyed it and it was still the ritual when a guy became a Christian. The guys would still be walking around pulling out their new and improved penises to show that they were members of the Christian cult just like Timothy had to do when he and Paul went to visit the Jews in Acts chapter 16.
The interesting thing is that while the fight over circumcision for the guys was going on there was no ritual for the women. So as a compromise to include the women into the ranks the guys gave up chopping foreskins and went with the baptizing ritual from India for all converts.
