Boycotting something has nothing to do with the 1st Amendment. Netflix is not the government. Obama is not the government. Boycotting something is a way for consumers to show disapproval for a company and/or a company's product by refusing to buy it. It's entirely related to private enterprise.

Boycotting is a valid economical measure.

The reasons behind a boycott however, should be subject to scrutiny. Boycotting a streaming service because they are paying a politician you don't like for shows you aren't being forced to watch, comes across as a little petty. There are plenty of shows on Netflix that don't involve Obama.

My point was they want people to say only things they approve of. If you want to niggle the fines, have fun with that.

OMG, I hated that show. Made it about two or three episodes before I was looking forward to the girl killing herself. What a tedious bitch. /sorrynotsorry

I know that sounds harsh, but what the fuck is wrong with that girl blaming people over petty, stupid things? Grrrrrrr.

It's a show geared more toward mentally infantile, unreasonable teenagers. I was warned to not watch it, because I was considering it at one time, and it seems I made the right decision.

So much for the promoters of "free speech" (right to be a total douchebag and expecting no social consequences )

Oh. Sorry. :-(

I thought it was a compelling and suspenseful story lol. Don't think what she did was right, but could understand how a young person could be pushed into that position after everything that happened. Did you watch the whole season?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Anything conservatards hate I imagine I'll love.  Keep up the good work, Netflix.  This country needs something besides that cocksucker trump on the air.

No. That's why people like me are Independent.

Me too.

That still has nothing to do with the 1st amendment. Unless they are trying to pass legislation to prevent Netflix from hiring / airing certain shows, it’s not a freedom of speech issue.

I haven’t forgotten. Let’s be sensible though. Calling a conservative boycott of Netflix a 1st amendment issue is bullshit.
