IMO it's best not to try to force people to stand for a racist song that brags about killing people who dared to fight for their own freedom from the people who were fighting to keep them in slavery.

What I don't get, and probably similar to what Kit is getting at without the sexual innuendo, is that the way they kneel is still respectful because they all absolutely kneel in the same way and facing the same direction. Why not just sit on the grass instead, maybe in a circle, randomly off to one side or even stand up and mooch around a bit scratching their balls? That would make their point far more effectively I think.

Of course the historical tea party was violent, so I guess what these people really want is riots in the street.  
Simple solution: Stop playing the fucking National Anthem before petty sporting events. Why is football , not physics, biology, poetry, music, rational discourse the pinnacle of our culture?
