Always glad to entertain.  Cool

More informed rather than entertained.   And a little sad.

You mean justifying your own bigotry. Nothing new there.

If you were "enlightened" this would not be your response.

Apparently you missed the part where I said, that I don't agree with this type of discrimination and bigotry of any group.

You miss the point if you think what happened to Sarah as being in the same camp as what SCOTUS did in saying bakers can be dicks to gays.

Sarah got a taste of her own medicine. Maybe if she didn't support a FUCKING ASSHOLE who panders to bigots she would not have been kicked out RIGHTFULLY.

If white people really think they know what oppression is, merely because non whites insist on not being treated like doormats, the issue isn't that they are being oppressed, the issue is that they are DELUSIONAL.

Sarah Huckabee is not a 'group'. She was denied service for what she in particular has said and done.

I'm not sure it's strategically sound in the long run, but it's legal and Red Hen was within their rights.

It's not like Huckabee doesn't have a choice about her televised behavior. I get it if she thinks the pay is good enough to do what she does, or even if she's following her heart, but there are consequences to your actions as a public figure, especially if you're pushing to find out where the limits of civil discourse are. Apparently justifying a policy of separating children from their parents who are legally seeking asylum goes past the limits for a lot of people.

However, the political ramifications of this sort of action may include motivating more of the Trump base to show up on election day, and could swing some elections in the favor of the Republicans, which detracts from the demotivating effect the separation policy was having on some of the less committed supporters.

And given the business Red Hen is doing now, I doubt this will be the last similar incident.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Do you understand how easy it will become to discriminate (or hide real motives for discrimination) based on political affiliations?

No sorry, one side panders to fear, the other side is fighting fear. The two are not the same and should never be equated as being equal.

How is it different?   You seem to be supporting discrimination against the person, for something totally unrelated to the service which is being provided.  This appears to be very much like the shop owner who put up the sign "No Gays Allowed".    How do you justify your special pleading?

RE: Refusing service because of political party.
I believe that the Grim Old Party would outlaw other parties if they thought they could get away with it, so discrimination based on party affiliation is already a fact of life in the US.

But more importantly, I wouldn't want that woman in my home, and I'd happily show her the door if she came into my place of business.
