When was the last time you had the nerve to respond honestly and logically to a friend or family member's silly post on facebook?
For me, it was this morning.
This was his post:

This was my response:
Life works that way. Good things happen when you least expect it, bad things happen even when you maintain a positive outlook. Good things happen to bad people, and bad things happen to good people. Etc, etc, etc. The problem is assigning meaning to randomness. There is no reason, most times. As humans, fallible humans, we prefer to assign meaning to randomness and coincidence because we cannot seem to be happy with "that's just how it is". Rather, we irrationally need an answer, even if we have to create the answer for ourselves in order to appease ourselves.
