I guess most theists think it's a sure thing that they're going to pass, because their old pal God just happens to share all their opinion about everything. That's the impression I get.
For the few that aren't so sure, it must be a horrific existence indeed. Some are driven to extreme acts. Feel free to send me a private message.

The thing about this certainty though, is that it cannot represent truth for many millions of people. The religious themselves tell us this, by making it clear there is only one "correct" faith. I do find it amazing that this doesn't seem to bother any of them. I feel it would be the slap in the face I needed if I was indoctrinated; and if that didn't do it, probably nothing would.

Have you considered that you may focus on theists, and conjecture that they're unhappy, in order to feel a little better about your own miserable existence? Sorry, but from things you've posted about your life you seem pretty fucked in the head. |
