Tablet for kids

Hello

Can someone recommend a good tablet? It's meant for kids, and though my first approach was to buy a tablet that's already set up for kids, I'm sick of them. Have tried several ones over the time, and was not happy with them. If they do not freeze on the second day due to corrupt OS, then they are unnecessarily complicated for a kid to use. So now I want to buy a normal tablet, and my main concern is to find one that is stable software-side, I can set up the necessary apps  myself. (Best with a price range around 250 $.) So, can someone recommend me a good one?

What's the age of the kid? and what is the purpose of the tab?

I'd say just go on amazon and grab a budget android tablet or netbook, there are loads of those and quite a bit cheaper than your budget.

Get a kindle. They cost fifty bucks and do everything your kid wants to do.

I’ve got the Kindle Fire for my kids, they’ve got great deals on them and I’ve yet to have a problem out of them for 1-2 years. Pretty simple to use as well, not only can you filter content but you can have it filtered by age and understanding as well.
