Breaking: the U.S Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, told Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman he had 72 hours to complete his "investigation" into the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, or risk wrecking the kingdom's place on the world stage.

https://www.axios.com/saudi-arabia-mike-...8655f.html

Quote:While President Trump took a soft stance, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman he had 72 hours to complete his "investigation" into the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, or risk wrecking the kingdom's place on the world stage.
What we're hearing: A source with knowledge of the conversation told Axios that Pompeo told MBS, in their Tuesday meeting, that he needs to "own" the situation. Pompeo stressed the timeline for dealing with the situation is "limited" because global pressure is mounting.
  • The State Department declined to comment on the remarks, some of which were first reported by CNN. A Saudi spokeswoman acknowledged receipt of Axios’ email but did not comment by deadline.
Why this matters: Defending the Saudis is becoming less tenable for Trump by the day, as a flood of reporting supports that Khashoggi was gruesomely murdered inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
  • MBS has sought to distance himself from the murder, and President Trump, eager to keep doing business with the Saudis, has amplified the Saudi denials and even volunteered the theory that "rogue" killers might have done it.
  • At the same time, the N.Y. Times reports, "American intelligence officials are increasingly convinced that [the crown prince] is culpable in the killing."
Our thought bubble: Despite the all-smiles photos, it seems like Pompeo had a fairly tense conversation with MBS.
  • Pompeo wanted to stress that this wasn’t something the Saudis could brush past, and to make clear to MBS that the facts are going to come out whether the crown prince likes it or not — so he should act quickly against the perpetrators.
  • Trump’s public rhetoric has been, for the most part, exactly what the Saudis want to hear and provides them with plenty of cover.
Be smart: It’s very likely MBS will find some scapegoats, and claim he knew nothing. And Trump’s public signals have suggested he’s eager to accept Saudi denials, and try to move back to business as usual.
  • The latest ... N.Y. Times lead story: "Saudi agents were waiting when Jamal Khashoggi walked into their country’s consulate in Istanbul two weeks ago. Mr. Khashoggi was dead within minutes, beheaded, dismembered, his fingers severed, and within two hours the killers were gone, according to details from audio recordings described by a senior Turkish official."

It looks like the U.S government is standing officially against MBS, and Trump is literally without power. MBS and his daddy lost the billions they gave to Trump to protect their butts. I hope that's the scenario anyways, but the news are clear: the Sauds are in deep shit.

Is MBS going to throw a tantrum before he leaves; if they overthrew him?
Fuck him anyways

I kinda doubt it, he might be more of a psychopath than his brother.
MBS didn't brutalize people alone; he always got help from others as evil, or even worse.

Their father -Salman- is a twisted person, I really doubt that any of his children in power are good in the head.

Hahaha, a 72 hour special.  That's pretty much an invitation to sweep shit under the rug in the most time effective way possible.  "Just point at somebody and have them executed".......

Must be a delivery or payment schedule at risk.

History tells us that upon the death of a ruler lots of little nobles would get delusions of grandeur which could lead to civil war in a kingdom.  It helped to have a successor who was of age to step in and take over rather than hope for the best.

Aside from SA and Trumplandia, kings seem to be on the way out.

Apparently Turkish investigators are now searching a forest outside Istanbul for Khashoggi’s remains.

I believe the civil war already started between many wings inside the Saud clan; the most obvious encounter of that war involved "Mohammed bin Fahad Al-Saud", who died fighting in a small clash with the wing of "MBS":

Then there is the arrest of many royal family figures  in the "Ritz Carlton":

But even so, MBS didn't see it right, because of greed it is obvious that whoever comes as a crown prince from the Sauds isn't able to handle another crown prince under him: remember that "MBS" was a "Crown Crown prince"; he was a double for "Mohammed bin Naief".

They are not united as they seem to be, that's their curse TBH; along with treating the population like sheep in personal farm.

Their must be traces for that body; I hope they found something. But it looks like a needle in a pile of grass unless somebody from the Saudi part confessed.

Just omg...this is a nightmare. I'm not a snowflake, but this crime is disgusting beyond limits; Al-Jazeera said:

Quote:خبر عاجل :مصدر أمني تركي للجزيرة: مساعدون لطبيب التشريح صلاح الطبيقي كانوا يغلفون أجزاء جثة خاشقجي بعد تقطيعها مباشرة

Urgent News: A Turkish security source said to Al-Jazeera: assistants to the autopsy doctor Salah al-Tabiki were wrapping parts of Khashoggi's body after cutting it directly

The twisted fucks..this is a regime of fuckin bloodthirsty assholes
Damn..
